The NC3Rs Novel Bioprinters for 3D In vitro Models (3D-IV) project has developed three new bioprinters. This event is the first of three events, organised by Dr Deepali Pal of Bristol University, and will involve a demonstration of the bioprinting technology in the morning, followed by a research seminar on in vitro models in the afternoon. The seminar will focus on next generation 3D bioprinting for cancer disease modelling.

The focus of the 3D T.I.S. is the use of complex 3D human tissue cultures for host-pathogen interaction research. The three-day symposium includes talks by distinguished national and international speakers. This symposium aims to provide a platform for early stage researchers as well as experienced scientists and professionals from academia and the pharmaceutical industry.

Deadline for abstract submission: 15/12/2024.

This workshop will explore different topics: current programs in federal agencies related to novel alternative methods and pediatric developmental biology, use of juvenile animal studies and in vitro tools to assess pediatric developmental safety assessment, use of model-informed drug development techniques.

This workshop is offered in a hybrid format. Registration is required for both in-person and virtual attendance.

The upcoming 8^th 3D Cell Culture conference will focus on the application areas of functional precision medicine and address the following questions: How can 3D cell culture technologies help improve patient outcomes in the treatment of serious diseases? Which models are currently being tested, implemented, improved? What are the potentials of organoids, cellular aggregates and microphysiological systems (MPS), where are the current limitations?

This conference will explore evidence based strategies in refinement, reduction, and replacement including topics such as Culture of Care, Using Artificial Intelligence in Drug Development, Changing Experimental Design Practices for Better Reduction, etc.

The agenda includes time for facilitated and free-form networking between attendees and presenters at the conference. It’s an excellent time to exchange ideas, share innovations, and network with like-minded professionals.
