2. Opportunities and challenges for integrating new methodologies in the toxicological evaluation and biomarker research (including industry perspectives)
3. Alternatives to animal testing in infection research

 Join Prof Thomas Hartung, Dr Lena Smirnova, and other renowned researchers for a discussion on the current status of organoid intelligence – and the next steps to realize its full potential. Smirnova et al. coined the term ‘organoid intelligence’ (OI) to describe an emerging multidisciplinary field working to develop biological computing using brain organoids and brain-machine interface technologies.

The congress will focus on different topics related to liver and hepatology:

The 2023 meeting will begin on Monday, June 26, 2023 with satellite events, networking opportunities, and the start of a week of scientific programs. Once again an educational workshop will be featured as well for those who are interested in hands-on training in the newest MPS technology. The scientific sessions will include varying formats: workshops, roundtables, and scientific symposia.

During this summer school, the fundamental bases of stem cell technologies and the range of possibilities offered by these methods will be presented. It will be associated with a critical reflection on the limits of these tools, the impact on living organisms and the ethical issues raised by the use of stem cells and genome editing.

This school is intended for doctoral students (primarily from the University of Poitiers), post-doctoral students, researchers, teacher-researchers, engineers and technicians.
