During this webinar, Prof. Peter Loskill will give a presentation on 'Organ-on-chip models integrating complex immunocompetent tissues for translational applications in immuno-oncology, (cardio)metabolic, and ophtalmology research'. He is Full Professor for Organ-on-Chip Research at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen and the Natural and Medical Sciences Institute, and head of the 3R-Center Tübingen for in vitro Models and Alternatives to Animal Testing.

This workshop provides a first hands-on introduction to the concept and methodology of systematic review and meta-analysis of animal studies. You will practice various steps of the systematic review process, such as comprehensive searching, data extraction and meta-analysis. The workshop is targeted at junior researchers considering to conduct their own systematic review of animal studies.

This webinar will discuss current activities in development and validation of complex in vitro models.

• Danilo Tagle, will discuss NCATS' program on MPS, or "tissue chips."
• Ivan Rusyn will present an overview of the TEX-VAL Consortium for validation and qualification of MPS.
• Remi Villenave will provide an industry perspective on adoption and validation of advanced models, including consideration of regulatory acceptance.
