3rd series of Educational Webinars

We are happy to inform you we are launching our third series of the RE-Place Educational Webinars.

The first session will be organised on the 26th of September from 16h00 to 17h00 CEST and will explore alternative methods in the fields of vaccines and developmental biology.

  •  During this webinar, Julien Lamme will present his work on the validation of the determination of bacterial endotoxin content by the rFC method in vaccine as a replacement for the LAL Method. Scientist in Sciensano since July 2021, Julien is working in the Biochemistry team of the Quality of Vaccine and Blood Product Service. He has a Master's degree in chemistry and professional experience in quality control in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Then, Alessandra Boggian will introduce her work on the investigation of the role of insulin in lung development using a new stem cell organoid model. Alessandra earned her BSc in medical biotechnology at the University of Ferrara, Italy, and a MSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She gained research experience in developmental and molecular biology, as well as tissue engineering. Currently she is pursuing her PhD in Romitti's lab at Jacques Dumont IRIBHM, Université Libre de Bruxelles.
