This 8th edition of the IC-3Rs symposium will be themed 'Tools in action: driving better 3Rs science'. Attendees who submit an abstract are entitled to a reduced registration fee for the Symposium.Young scientists who submit an abstract will compete for the best poster presentation (250€). Anyone working in the field of 3Rs is free to submit an abstract, but only master students, PhD students and postdocs are eligible for the competition.

The ASPIS Open Symposium (OS) is an annual meeting of the members of the ASPIS cluster and the wider scientific community, focusing on advancing the safety assessment of chemicals without the use of animal testing. The symposium will present the latest work of the ASPIS cluster formed by the three Horizon 2020 consortia: ONTOX, PrecisionTox, and RISK-HUNT3R, focusing on the implementation of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for chemical risk assessment.

The conference will focus on the latest advances in 3Rs research and aims at inspiring new ideas to move towards the future of biotech and biomedical sciences; promoting networking and collaboration among different research fields, contributing to the growth of 3Rs in basic, applied and translation science; emphasizing the great opportunity offered by application of the 3Rs to different fields of research.

Abstract may be submitted for Poster Presentation, Oral Presentations, or Either before 30/04/2025.

This workshop provides a first introduction and hands-on experience on the topic. It is suitable for anyone with an interest in synthesizing evidence from animal studies, e.g. researchers, animal welfare officers, etc. Researchers interested in systematic review of clinical or in vitro studies will also find this workshop useful. This workshop is funded by the ZonMW program “Meer kennis met minder dieren” and therefore free of charge.

This workshop was postponed (orignially March 4-5, 2025) to the Fall 2025. It will be organised live and Online.

The NC3Rs, HESI, and ICCS are co-sponsoring the inaugural Innovate EcoSafety Summit. This meeting, organised by a multi-sector committee, will gather experts to advance environmental safety assessment, address scientific priorities, and coordinate future ecotoxicology work.

The 2025 summit will focus on applying NAMs to improve ecological risk assessment and hazard screening, with themes on:

• Replacing acute in vivo fish testing.
• Endocrine disruptor assessment for fish and amphibians.

• Virtual conference topic sessions of several talks and a group discussion
• The virtual poster session will be accompanied by scheduled discussions per sub-session (poster shared folder, web meeting, and Slack).
• The deadline for speaker abstract submissions and poster submissions is 30 June 2025. Submit a poster or speaker abstract. 

This conference will bring together scientists, professionals, and students from all regions of the globe to celebrate the unity of the worldwide toxicology community.

The theme of “Toxicology for Safe Environment and Healthy Life” will focus on a program that highlights excellence and diversity in toxicology.
